How to Enter & Contest Rules

*Register at Jerry’s Artarama in Virginia Beach between Tuesday May 7^th and Saturday May 11^th.

Beginning May 7^th, purchase the designated 16”x20” canvas, plus 4 tubes of Matisse Acrylic Paint (colors of your choice). Supplies MUST be purchased at Jerry’s Artarama in Virginia Beach. Canvas and paint colors will be registered on your entry form.

*MAX TWO ENTIRES per person.

Artworks can be for sale – see ** below. Price must be designated on entry form.

You will have up to seventeen full days to paint your entry. To be eligible for judging & prizes, entries must be returned by 7:00pm on Thursday, May 23^rd.

*Create your 2-dimensional art work on the registered 16”x20” canvas (canvases) using the Matisse Acrylic paint (paints) you purchased within the painting. The main subject of the piece will be an animal or animals of your choice.

***No frames please. Acrylic pieces ONLY!***

*Canvas (canvases) must be wired for hanging.  Un-wired canvas cannot be displayed!

Awards Ceremony & Wine ‘n Cheese Reception

Will be held Friday, May 24^th from 6 to 8 pm.

And five $50 Honorable Mentions!

**Artworks can be for sale however, Jerry’s will NOT conduct sale of artworks. Jerry’s will pass along the artist’s contact info to anyone interested in purchasing artwork; sales will be private purchases between artists and buyers.

Artworks can be picked up any time after May 27^th and will remain on display until May 31^st. Unclaimed artwork will be donated to a local charity.
